Theatre This Week: December 5 – December 11

These are the plays to see in Toronto for the week of December 5 – 11, 2016.

TomorrowLove

November 23 - December 18

You’ll never have another theatre experience quite like this: TomorrowLove takes place in a real funeral home, the acting pairs and the scenes they perform are chosen through a musical chairs-style dance number, and the relationships being explored are written for any possible gender combination. The result is engaging, immersive, and utterly creative.

At The Aorta (733 Mount Pleasant Road) until December 18. For tickets or more information, click here.

Come From Away

November 15 - January 8

Come From Away is one of the most anticipated Canadian plays of the year. Based on the true story of the 6579 airline passengers who were stranded in Gander, Newfoundland on 9/11, Irene Sankoff and David Hein wrote a rich, moving original musical. Not to be missed.

At the Royal Alexandra Theatre until January 8. For tickets or more information, click here.

Black Boys

November 19 - December 11

The creative and poetic documentary theatre show weaves the three creators’ stories together to explore issues related to race, sexuality, and identity.

At Buddies in Bad Times until December 11. For tickets or more information, click here.
