Bageshree Vaze

Bageshree Vaze is a Kathak dance artist and vocalist based in Toronto. She has performed in major festivals in Canada, the US and India and she has five CDs to her credit. In 2020, Bageshree received 3 Dora Mavor Moore Award nominations (Dance Division), including one for Outstanding Performance by an Individual. As Artistic Director of Pratibha Arts, Bageshree launched the Diversity Dance Initiative (DDI) in 2018, a project to address cultural inequities in the Canadian dance sector.
