Keara Barnes is a writer and award-winning actor from Vancouver, B.C. She holds a BFA in Theatre from The University of Victoria and has studied with Dublin’s Fishamble: The New Play Company, Playwright’s Theatre Centre, and the Wet Ink Collective. Keara is the creator/performer behind two acclaimed solo shows (Almost a Stepmom & TravelTheatrics) that have toured fringe and theatre festivals across Western Canada. She is the writer/producer of several short films (A Midwinter Nightmare, Livefeed, Labour Day) and is a former theatre blogger for the Greater Vancouver Professional Theatre Alliance. She has also worked as a theatric critic for Three Weeks Magazine at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Most recently, a story and poem of hers were published in Understorey Magazine.
