Molly Johnson
Born and raised on Unama'ki/Cape Breton Island, Molly Johnson is an emerging maker, freelance writer, Dora Award-winning dance artist, and double Gemini whose body of work imagines alternative ways to be inside a capitalist heteropatriarchal society. This has included a film in which she steamrolls troll dolls with her body, a (still in development) chapbook about power dynamics in dance, and a participatory performance project that maps the impact of togetherness. Ironically, but also fittingly, Molly is a licensed wedding officiant on the weekends. thisismollyjohnson.com
