A surrealist vaudeville farce by Rouvan Silogix, featuring gymnasts, acrobats, violinists, trumpeters, clowns, opera-singers, jugglers, contortionists, and maybe some Ducks.

KIINALIK: THESE SHARP TOOLS, Buddies in Bad Times
Inuk artist Laakkuluk Williamson Bathory and queer theatre-maker Evalyn Parry met on an Arctic expedition from Iqaluit to Greenland. Now sharing a stage, these two powerful storytellers map new territory together in a work that gives voice and body to the histories, culture, and climate we’ve inherited, and asks how we reckon with these sharp tools.

A sailor has returned from a long sea voyage. He stops a man who is on the way to a wedding ceremony and begins to narrate a story. The wedding guest’s reaction turns from bemusement to impatience to fear to fascination as the story progresses.

LO (OR DEAR MR. WELLS), Nightwood Theatre/Crow’s Theatre
It was ten years ago that Laura was Alan Wells’ student at Corpus Christi High School. She was uncharacteristically intelligent for fifteen years old—perceptive and vulnerable—a dream student for an uninspired English teacher. Now, at twenty-five years old, Laura has written her first book. She calls it Dear Mr. Wells and Alan is the first person she wants to read it.

Three plays of fantastic realism: New World, which tells two parallel stories simultaneously, one of a father in 17th century London preparing to sail to North America, and of a 21st century daughter departing to colonize Mars; Tactile Maladies, where a historian invites us into a quarantined home during a plague; and “this place.”, where a woman named Leah is being haunted by the ghost of her dead husband.
